We are rapidly approaching the launch of Hope Church and the Hope Centre on 29th May (Ascension Sunday) to include our Sunday gatherings.  It will be a busy period with the final practical building and administrative tasks to complete. As we ‘cross over’ into Hope Church it is essential that we take time to pause, reflect and give thanks for who He is and what He has done. God deserves all our thanks and praise – without Him, we are nothing.  There is so much to thank Him for, and it is good to give thanks, yet in our busyness this is so often neglected.  Let us take time to thank and praise him from the very core of our being.  ‘Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. (Psalm 103 v1). Let’s be a people with a ‘Thankful Heart’.

This is the title and theme for our services between Easter and Ascension Sunday.  We will be meeting at Dawlish College each week up to the opening, but amongst the busyness we will be encouraging simplicity of how we meet. The gatherings will be ‘stripped back’ focussing in minimal set up, less formality, more space for worship, prayer and sharing, supported by a 10 minute reflection on the chosen Bible verses.  Please come prepared having read and prayed through the Bible verses for that week.  Please be prepared to share what the Lord is doing or has done in your life relating to that week’s theme. Please see the ‘Thankful Heart’ series overview table for the weekly themes and readings.
